The mission of the Samaritan Group, Inc. is to address the emergency housing needs of the homeless population and those in imminent danger of becoming homeless in Kent County and northern Queen Anne’s County.

Current activities include:

1. Providing an emergency winter homeless shelter during the months of January, February, and March. On an emergency basis, we also provide housing for a few nights in a local motel.

2. Assisting individuals and families to avoid homelessness by offering help with rent and utilities.

3. Helping our clients transition to stable housing, to access mental health and medical services and to find full employment.
